The Potter’s Kiln

The Potter’s Kiln represents Life, as it defines and refines us during our lifetime. Constantly making fiery demands on us, It determines how we live, love, and share this world with other souls, who just like us, share this common time frame in the Lime Kiln.

In The Lime Kiln, we are sublimated to a pure Faith, Empathy, Mercy, Love and Compassion until we are reduced ultimately to the pure sublimate of Love. Calcined by day-to-day events, some mundane, while others like mankind’s selfishness and cruelty to mankind horrify us. On the other hand, other kinder loving acts like soft, cool, refreshing winds rustling through the trees uplift us, all these events serve to sinter our souls together into one human family, and in the process we all learn to Love in a World bereft of Love.

These Poems liberated during this slow calcination of the Self in Life’s Lime Kilns are a testimony to our common human experience, heritage, and destiny.

I invite you to read and enjoy my poetry blog “The Lime Kilns,” and should a poem or two move you please leave me some kind words, using the comments box below.
